GSL 2025: Predicting DC playing XI for match 8

Dubai Capitals will take on Rangpur Riders in match 8 of the ongoing Global Super League (GSL 2025) at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on July 16, 2025. Dubai Capitals lost their previous match to Guyana Amazon Warriors. On the other hand, Rangpur Riders recorded a narrow 1-run win over Hobart Hurricanes.

Here’s the probable playing XI of Dubai Capitals for the 8th match of the GSL 2025 – 

Top Order:

Sediqullah Atal

Sediqullah Atal has smashed 91 runs in three games in GSL 2025 with a strike rate of 178.43 and is the player to watch out for. Rohan Mustafa is expected to continue opening, but has a lot to prove with only nine runs in two games. The experienced Niroshan Dickwella will don the keeping gloves and has been amongst runs with 53 of them in three games.  

Middle Order:

Gulbadin Naib

Captain Gulbadin Naib comes next with 32 runs and one wicket in the tournament. Bangladesh great Shakib Al Hasan will helm the middle order and has scored the most runs for DC with 69 in three games. Sanjay Krishnamurthi made only one run in his only outing so far. 

Lower Order:

Kadeem Alleyne

Jesse Bootan and Kadeem Alleyne are expected to provide lower-order muscle. Bootan has 39 runs so far for DC, while Alleyne has not got many chances to show off his wares despite playing three games. 

Bowlers:

Kaleem Sana

Coming to the bowling unit of the Capitals, Dominic Drakes and Kaleem Sana will helm the pace bowling units. Qais Ahmed has one wicket in the GSL in two games and seven overs with an economy of 4.42. He’ll be expected to do much better if DC needs to win and be in contest. 

Dominic Drakes has picked two wicket sin three games for the DC. On the other hand, Kaleem Sana has been the star with four wickets in three games and a best bowling performance of 4/31 that came against Guyana Amazon Warriors.
