Subcontinental rivals Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will kick off their two-match test series on June 17th, with the first test taking place at the Galle International Stadium. Both teams have announced their 16-member squads in preparation for the opening match. Sri Lanka will aim to start their new WTC campaign on a strong note and may select the following playing eleven as they head into the contest.

The Sri Lankan side is expected to start three pacers against Bangladesh at Galle as the pitch tends to support the pacers on the opening two days. The Sri Lankan fast bowling trio, Prabhat Jayasurya, Asitha Fernando, Kasun Rajitha will be looking to exploit the inexperienced top order of Bangladesh.
