Karun Nair Is set to return to international cricket after 7 long years thanks to his long grind in domestic cricket the 33 year old is just the second Indian to score a triple century in the longest format of the game. Karun Nair scored 303 not out in the 5th and final test match which was played in Chennai at the MA Chiram Stadium in 2016 as India scored 759 runs for the loss of seven wickets and went on to win the test match.

The veteran India batter Score over 850 runs in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy season for Vidarbha. This helped his side beat Kerala in the final and claim the title after missing it out in the previous season where they were easily beaten by Mumbai in the finals. With Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retiring from test cricket, Karun Nair Will be a key better for India in the upcoming test matches against England

Here are the top three reasons why Karun Nair Should be part of India’s playing 11 in the tour of England

3- Form leading up to Test matches 

Ahead of the1st Test match,  Nair scored 259 runs from three innings. The veteran battles for 204 runs for India Against the England Lions. This was followed by his knocks of 40 and 15 in the second game of the tournament which concluded on Monday. On current form no one can be as lethal as Karun Nair in the upcoming fTive match series against England. The veteran batter also has good experience of playing in England having represented Northamptonshire and also scoring a double century.

2- Much needed experience 

With Roy Sharma and Virat Kohli having retired from the test format, the experience of Karun Nair will be key for the Indian cricket team against a very strong England side led by Ben Stokes. The 33 year old batter is very good player against the pace and seam bowling as well as a very competent batter against spin. Having lost two senior batters and just KL Rahul in the batting lineup for India, the visiting side led by Shubman Gill will be looking at Karun Nair to lend his overall experience of not just his form in the Red Ball format but also in the English conditions.

1- Proper Test batter 

Karun Nair Has the experience of playing lots of Red Bull cricket. Nair has played hundred and sixteen first class matches with 8470 runs and averages 49 with the bat. He scored a remarkable triple ton in one of his Earliest games for Karnataka. The veteran right handed batter has the ability to grind out attacks and make bowlers turn his wicket. Gautam Gambhir and Shubman Gill will be hoping that Karun Nair can be an ideal replacement at number 4 for India and And take over the spot that was held by Virat Kohli for long and also help India win the test match series starting on 20th June.
