Eagle Nashik Titans continued their unbeaten run in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL 2025), registering a four-wicket win over Kolhapur Tuskers in Match 8. Notably, the game took place at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Monday morning. With this victory, the Titans now sit comfortably atop the points table with three wins in as many matches and a positive net run rate of 1.808.

The match began with Nashik captain Prashant Solanki winning the toss and opting to bowl first. The Tuskers’ innings got going as their top order collapsed against Solanki and Arshin Kulkarni. Only Vishant More (22 off 21), Shrikant Mundhe (27 off 29), and captain Anand Thenge (35 off 20) showed some fight.

With a middle-order collapse and wickets falling at regular intervals, the Kolhapur side failed to cross the 150-run mark as they reached a below-par 134/9 in 20 overs. Nashik skipper Solanki picked up a four-wicket haul, while Kulkarni and Akshay Waikar chipped in with crucial breakthroughs.

Damle’s counter-attacking knock helps Nashik edge out Kolhapur

Eagle Nashik Titans began their chase brilliantly. While Mandar Bhandari (4) fell early, Arshin (42 off 34) and Sahil Parakh (27 off 16) stabilised the innings. Later, Rohan Damle’s 45 off 28 with three fours and three sixes ensured that the Titans stayed ahead of the required rate.

Though Kolhapur pacer Rajneesh Gurbani produced a solid effort with a four-wicket haul, it wasn’t enough to contain the opposition batters. Kaushal Tambe (5* off 3) and Yogesh Dongre (3* off 4) took the team over the line with 22 balls to spare, finishing at 138/6 in 16.2 overs.
