The biggest match of the Indian Premier League is about to begin, and it will be the two teams in Red (Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings) that will be battling it out at the Motera to win their first-ever IPL title this season. The experts and analysts on the commentary panel have also revealed their favourites to lift the trophy this year.

Though the experts had only two choices, there were some interesting answers from the commentary team ahead of the final. The answers that stood out the most were from former legendary spinner and World Cup winner Harbhajan Singh and ex-Tamil Nadu batter Abhinav Mukund, both of whom took a neutral stance. While Bhajji gave a diplomatic answer, Mukund made a hilarious statement, saying that the team wearing red jersey will win the final.

“Punjab vs Bengaluru final and both teams haven’t won a trophy yet, it’s been so many years of hard work, but now is the time when we will finally get a new champion, who will win the trophy. My heart says Punjab, but my mind is saying RCB. I don’t think I can predict it, but whoever plays the best, they’re gonna go on to win the trophy, but I wish both teams all the very best,” Harbhajan told in a video on Star Sports.

“A team in red will win the final,” Mukund said in the same clip that is going viral.

AB de Villiers confident on RCB’s triumph

Apart from them, ex-RCB batter AB de Villiers naturally went with the team he represented for over a decade in the league, scoring a truckload of runs for the side.

“I hope RCB will win, that’s my prediction. RCB has got a lot of skill, a lot of players chipped in this season, and I hope they’ll come through and shine through in the final,” de Villiers said.

“I think it’s going to be RCB, Epic final, it’s never happened until today, it’s going to happen, but I think RCB are going to take it,” ex-RCB pacer Varun Aaron said.
