IPL 2025: Predicting GT’s Playing XI for the eliminator clash against MI

Openers

Middle-Order  

The middle-order of the Gujarat Titans is expected to start with the opening of the veteran wicketkeeper-batter, Jos Buttler. He will be followed by Sherfane Rutherford at number four, who is capable of building a strong partnership with the top-order batters.

Besides that, they can also be a vital cog in the wheel with the spin-bowling skills, accompanying the specialist spinner R Sai Kishore. So, it will be a perfect all-rounder duo for the Titans in the next game against MI. Rahul and Rashi also scalped a wicket each in the last game against CSK. 

Bowlers  

Speaking of Gujarat’s bowling attack, they might field three out-and-out pacers, alongside Prasidh Krishna as the fourth pacer, bringing him in as an impact player. He is expected to replace a specialist batter or vice versa. Prasidh Krishna also scalped 2 wickets at just 22 runs in his four overs in the previous game against CSK.

He has scalped 17 wickets in 14 innings, with a commendable strike rate of 13.5. He also claimed a wicket in the last game against CSK.
