[WATCH] IPL 2025: Abhishek Sharma’s massive six shatters car’s windshield during RCB vs SRH clash, video goes viral

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma struck a six which broke the windshield of the sponsored car at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the second over of the first innings and was hit for a giant six on the fifth delivery by the SRH opener. The veteran pacer bowled a short of length ball just outside off, and the left-hander read the length early to send the ball soaring over deep midwicket for a maximum. The ball landed straight on the windshield of the sponsored car, leaving it shattered and drawing loud cheers from the crowd.

Notably, the match was shifted from the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium due to persistent rain in the Karnataka capital. RCB’s previous fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the venue was washed out without toss. 

Meanwhile, Jitesh Sharma stepped in as RCB captain after Rajat Patidar was moved to the Impact Player role due to a finger injury. RCB also brought in Mayank Agarwal in place of the injured Devdutt Padikkal. On the other hand, SRH brought in Travis Head, Abhinav Manohar, and Jaydev Unadkat into the playing XI.

RCB have already sealed a place in the playoffs, and came into this clash placed second on the IPL 2025 points table with 17 points. A win here would push them to the top, overtaking Gujarat Titans (GT), who are currently at the number one spot with 18 points. SRH have already been eliminated from the playoff race and are currently eighth with nine points. Pat Cummins-led side is aiming to end their campaign on a high note with a win over the Bengaluru-based franchise.
