IPL 2025: Who dropped catches in CSK vs PBKS match 49?

IPL 2025: Who dropped catches in CSK vs PBKS match 49?

The five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were knocked out of IPL 2025 after suffering a defeat against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Match 49 on Wednesday, April 30.

In the 13th over, bowled by Noor Ahmad to Prabhsimran Singh, the latter stepped down the pitch and attempted a big heave but failed to reach the pitch of the ball. The shot came off the toe end of the bat and went high into the air. Matheesha Pathirana ran towards his right and got under it, but ended up dropping what should have been a simple catch. Despite getting both hands to it, the ball slipped through the hands of the Sri Lankan cricketer and made a moment of sloppy fielding from CSK.

Eventually, in the last ball of the over, Noor Ahmad picked up the wicket of the batter. The batter was caught in the deep by Dewald Brevis after scoring a well-made half-century and helped PBKS to cross the victory lines.
