Nitish Rana held onto a juggling effort to get rid of Devdutt Padikkal during the ongoing clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 42 of the ongoing IPL 2025 edition. Notably, the thrilling encounter is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, April 24.

Speaking of how an important catching moment panned out during the RCB versus RR match, batter Padikkal was forced to head back to the shed for 50 off 27 deliveries. The chance offered by Padikkal, who ended up spooning up an easy opportunity to Nitish at extra cover.

The catching chance was a virtually straightforward opportunity. However, Nitish seemed to have lost sight of the ball due to the floodlights. Ultimately, Nitish clung onto the ball after multiple attempts.

Kohli set Chinnaswamy ablaze with his scintillating knock

Virat Kohli top-scored with a fine 70-run knock off 42 deliveries. The former skipper’s innings comprised eight fours and a couple of sixes. Kohli and Padikkal were the second and third wickets to fall for the hosts, respectively. RCB ended up posting 205/5 at the end of their 20-over quota.

The wicketkeeper-batter, Jitesh Sharma, ended up unbeaten on 20* off 10 deliveries. Wanindu Hasaranga ended up as the most economical bowler for RR. Sandeep Sharma picked up a couple of wickets. However, he conceded 45 runs in four overs. Jofra Archer (1/33 in four overs) bowled a total of 12 dot balls during his spell.
