PSL 2025: Predicting playing XI of Multan Sultan against Lahore Qalandars 

The tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League is currently in full swing, with teams competing for the title. Multan Sultan will be playing against Lahore Qalandars in the 12th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Multan Sultan are in pursuit of their first victory this season, having lost their previous three fixtures. 

On the other side, Lahore Qalandars will be looking to keep building on their winning momentum with a playoff spot in their sights. Multan Sultan and Lahore Qalandars have faced each other on 19 previous occasions. The hosts have the upper hand, having won 14 of those fixtures. The Qalandars have managed to win only five matches head-to-head.

Batters –  

Multan Sultan’s batters have had a decent season with the bat so far. Mohammad Rizwan and Shai Hope are expected to come in as the openers. Usman Khan and Kamran Ghulam may have faltered in the last match against Peshawar Zalmi, but the management may stick to the duo to shoulder the team’s middle-order responsibilities.

Middle Order –  

Michael Bracewell, Ashton Turner and Iftikhar Ahmed are expected to provide the finishing touches to the innings, along with sharing the responsibility of bowling in the middle phases. This may prove to be the last chance for Ashton Turner to make contributions to the team lest he may soon be dropped from the squad.

Bowlers –  

The bowlers haven’t performed well in the tournament so far for the Sultans. The likes of David Willey, Usama Mira and Ubaid Shah have failed to contain the opposition batters. Akif Javed may be replaced by Mohammad Hasnain after being taken to the cleaners in the last match as he ended up conceding 52 runs.
