With the win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Thursday, Delhi Capitals have now won all four of their games so far in the ongoing IPL 2025, being the only team to remain unbeaten up until now. Yet to suffer a loss, the set-up is filled with confidence for getting such an amazing start to the tournament, as they seek their first-ever title in the marquee league.

Their mentor Kevin Pietersen, however, believes that well begun is only half done, and the side is to face their toughest opponents going forward in the tournament. The former England cricketer feels that a tournament like IPL should be played like a marathon and not a sprint. As a result, staying grounded and focusing on the long-term goals remains an integral part to win the title. Taking to social media, Pietersen also lavished praise on young Vipraj Nigam for his outstanding all-round performances for the Delhi-based franchise.

“Quick reminder – the IPL is a marathon and not a sprint. Whilst it’s so good that we’re playing like we are, all of us know that the biggest games are in May! It really is so nice to be winning for our @DelhiCapitals supporters though. Special mention to our young superstar, Vippi (Vipraj Nigam)! Some young man he is!,” the South Africa-born posted on X, also known as Twitter.

Speaking of the upcoming match for the Capitals, they will be up against the Mumbai Indians on April 13. The match will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, which also makes this the first game at the venue for Axar & Co this season. Following this clash will be a reverse fixture against Rajasthan Royals at the same venue in New Delhi on April 16.

With KL Rahul and other top-order batters in sublime form, and bowling shining throughout the campaign so far, Delhi will be genuinely hoping to make it further in the league this time round.
