IPL 2025: GT vs RR, Match 23 – Stats preview of players’ records and approaching milestones

Franchise Gujarat Titans (GT) return home after wins in consecutive away matches in IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League). The Titans’ win streak is now up to three. Rajasthan Royals (RR) have also won two in a row now but are only seventh on the points table. 

GT’s win over SRH in Hyderabad followed a blueprint set by their win over RCB in Bengaluru. Mohammed Siraj wreaked havoc with powerplay wickets, while Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore tied down the batters in the middle overs. SRH never kept up with a game that was slipping away. GT also lost early wickets, but a surprise promotion for Washington Sundar paid off as he took the attack to the bowlers and ensured the result was headed exactly one way. Shubman Gill made a fifty, and Sherfane Rutherford chipped in with another explosive cameo. 

Speaking of RR’s recent IPL match result, they are coming off an away win, brushing PBKS aside in Mullanpur. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a perfect anchor knock, which was backed by Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jofra Archer then took two wickets in the first over of the chase, and it was all over. The other bowlers provided Archer with ideal support, and even Nehal Wadhera’s heroics got the home side only so far.
