This time coach gets punished for criticizing the BPL

বিপিএলের সমালোচনা করায়, এবার শাস্তি পেলেন কোচ

The controversy in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) does not stop. One wrong decision by the umpires, there created a storm of criticism in the cricketing world. A few days ago Comilla Victorians batsman Zaker Ali was wrongly given lbw by the third umpire. However, the head coach of the team, Mohammad Salahuddin, was punished for his protest.

After the match, Salahuddin criticized the wrong decisions of the umpires. According to Comilla’s coach, pitching outside the leg stamp in this way cannot be LBW. But the umpires declared it out in response to the request of the opposing team. And Salahuddin got angry at that and said, “Our hands and feet are tied. If we talk about these things, we will be banned.”

Also criticising the use of ADRS instead of DRS, Salahuddin said, “Zaker’s ball pitched outside the leg stump. That is clearly visible. But even there the third umpire is giving out. In that case, there is really nothing we can do. It’s better not to have ADRs. Better to let the onfield umpire decide.”

Of course, as Salahuddin said, it happened. In the end, he could not escape from the punishment. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has punished Comilla’s coach for a breach of discipline. In a Sunday BCB press release, Salahuddin was fined 50 per cent of the match fee. Also, 3 demerit points have been added next to his name.

However, BCB says otherwise. They have changed the playing conditions of BPL. BCB also issued a press release about Zaker’s out after the match. Where they said, according to their playing condition, the umpire made the right decision. Although there is room for debate here too. None of the players and coaches knew about this new playing condition.
