Najam Sethi wants to hold talks with Jay Shah to reduce India-Pakistan tension

ভারত - পাকিস্তান উত্তেজনা কমাতে জয় শাহের সঙ্গে আলোচনায় বসতে চান নাজাম শেঠি

India-Pakistan match means high voltage match. However, due to political tension, these two superpowers only face each other in ICC international tournaments. Due to various reasons, there is a war of words between the cricketers of the two countries. The war of words between the two countries has been going on for a long time regarding the upcoming Asia Cup. Former Chairman of Pakistan Board Ramiz Raja talked about the conflict with India over the Asia Cup. But the new chairman of the board, Najam Sethi, moved away from that position and softened his tone.

Pakistan will host the upcoming Asia Cup. However, Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah wants the Asia Cup to be held in a neutral country. In response to this, Ramiz Raja said that Pakistan will boycott the One Day World Cup to be held in India. However, the current head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, wants to negotiate with Joy without conflict. He wants the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan anyway.

A former Pakistan cricket captain told the Pakistani media on condition of anonymity that Sethi is keen to seek permission from the Asian Cricket Council for the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in September. He also wants to talk to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah if he comes to the opening of the International T20 League to be held in Dubai. According to the schedule of the Asia Cup, India – Pakistan will face each other in September. But as the venue of the Asia Cup is Pakistan and India does not want to go there, there is a question about the Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, when the schedule of the Asia Cup was published recently, Sethi pinched Jay there as well. He claimed that Jay Shah had published a one-sided plan. “I am not angry, but confused. They could have given us a call. It is not good to do it unilaterally when there is a council for it,” Sethi said about the schedule. Meanwhile, the Asian Cricket Council rejected Sethi’s allegations.

Apart from holding the post of Secretary of the Indian Cricket Board, Jay is also the Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council. Although Jay did not comment on Sethi’s comments on the schedule, a message from the Cricket Council termed Sethi’s comments baseless. Now the question is whether Jay Shah will discuss this with Najam Sethi. However, BCCI has not informed anything about this. It is assumed that Sethi wants to sit in the discussion with Jay to find a solution and reduce India-Pakistan. But it remains to be seen whether Jay will respond to Sethi’s call.
