IMLT20: Predicting England Masters’ Playing XI for their clash against Australia Masters

They are coming off a massive 9-wicket against Sri Lanka Masters in the last game. So, they will be eyeing winning this game against Australia Masters to register their first success in the tournament.

Openers 

The England Masters management might look ahead to go with the same opening pair of wicketkeeper-batter Phil Mustard and skipper Eoin Morgan. The duo stitched a steady partnership of 37 runs for the first wicket in 5.3 overs in the previous over but failed to convert it into a big one. 

Mustard played a crucial knock of 50 runs off 39 balls, with three sixes and three fours. He will aim to come up with another strong performance in the next game against Australia Masters. Besides him, skipper Eoin Morgan will also look ahead to get back in the form to help his side register the first win in the tournament. 

Middle-Order  

The middle order of the England Masters will start with the in-form number three batter Tim Ambrose followed by Darren Moody at number four. Ambrose and Moody failed in the last game, scoring 17 and 15 runs, respectively. But they can make a strong comeback with the bat in the next game. 

Following Ambrose and Moody, Chris Schofield will be there to bat at number five and add some crucial runs in the lower middle order to help his side post a big total on the board. 

All-Rounders 

The all-rounder duo for England Masters is expected to include Tim Bresnan and Dimitri Mascarenhas in the playing XI. Bresnan added important 18 runs off 17 balls, with two fours in the last game to take England to a respectable total.
