WPL 2025: 3 batters to watch out for in Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Giants clash

Women’s Premier League have their top three sides with Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Gujarat Giants reached the playoff stages. UP Warriorz and Royal Challengers Bengaluru the defending Champions are knocked out of the tournament. RCB are currently last in the table with just four points.

The action now moves to Mumbai as Brabourne Stadium will host the final two games for MI. Harmanpreet Kaur and her side will play Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru before the playoff stages begin. Mumbai Indians had beaten UP Warriorz to secure their place in the playoffs. The eliminator game will take place on Thursday with the final to be played on Saturday.

Here are the top three batters to watch out for in the MI-W vs GG-W WPL 2025 game:

West Indian star Hayley Matthews was the batter for MI in the previous match against UP Warriorz. Matthews scored 68 with the bat from 46 balls with eight fours and two huge sixes. Mumbai were chasing 151 to win as the Caribbean star decided to use the powerplay to her advantage. Matthews would love to head back to the Brabourne stadium where she has batted well and helped MI win the title. Harmanpreet Kaur’s team will hope that Matthews can continue her good form with the bat in the next few matches.

2. Harleen Deol

Veteran star Natali Sciver-Brunt has been the best player for Mumbai Indians this season with 309 runs. The 32-year-old England star is just behind Elyse Perry who has scored 323 runs. Brunt has been terrific with the bat while coming out to bat at the number three spot and played a key role in many wins for MI this season. If Mumbai has to win the next two games and also the title then Brunt has to play a key role with the bat.
