Walking in to bat at 43/2, the right-handed batter stitched a crucial partnership with Ben Duckett. The two added 158 runs for the third-wicket stand. He played second fiddle to Duckett and scored a well-supported 68 runs in 78 balls, which included four boundaries.

2. Ben Duckett

Ben Duckett created history with his magnificent innings. He played with the right mindset that helped his team put on a massive total of 351 runs on the board. This was the highest team total in the Champions Trophy history. In addition, his knock of 165 runs in 143 balls was the highest individual score in the marquee event’s history. The left-hander’s innings was studded with as many as 17 fours and three sixes.

Josh Inglis played a stunning knock in the chase that looked a bit steep for the Aussies. He walked in to bat after Matthew Short and Marnus Labuschagne had stitched an important partnership of 95 runs. Inglis put on a stunning partnership with Alex Carey worth 146. He stayed till the end and took his team through with his masterful knock of 120 runs in just 86 balls. His innings was studded with eight fours and six sixes.
