OTD | Australia Women beat South Africa Women by an innings and 284 runs to register their biggest Test win in 2024

South African women’s team toured Australia for a three match ODI and T20I series. Both teams played one Test match which saw the hosts produce their biggest win in Test cricket. It was a tour to forget for the South African side who didn’t do well and lost the white ball and the sole Test match being played.

The tour began with the T20I series with Canberra hosting the first two games. Australia won the opening battle by eight wickets. South Africa then won the second match by six wickets. The series decider moved to Hobart which the hosts won by five wickets to be picked at the T20I series.

In the ODI series, the pattern was similar to the T20 series, as Australia won by eight wickets in Adelaide. Sydney, who played host to the second saw the visitors win by 84 runs thanks to Duckworth and Lewis. The final game played in Sydney was yet another rain marred affair that the hosts won by 110 runs.
