Mohammed Siraj has become one of the permanent members of the Indian team across formats. His exclusion from the squad came as a shock to many Explaining why Siraj was dropped, captain Rohit Sharma said, “His effectiveness comes down when he’s not bowling with the new ball. We prioritised bowlers who can deliver with the new ball, be effective in the middle overs, and at the back end.”
