India domestic cricketer Sheldon Jackson has retired from white-ball cricket, according to the latest development on Friday, January 03. The wicketkeeper-batter decided to hang up his boots from the 50-over format at the age of 38. Jackson will continue to play red-ball cricket for Saurashtra, where he will be seen in action in the ongoing season of the Ranji Trophy.
The cricketer made his List A debut, back in 2006 during the Ranji One-Day Trophy against Baroda at the Moti Bagh Stadium, Vadodara. Since then, Jackson has played 86 matches in the format, scoring an impressive, 2792 runs at an average of 36.25, including 14 half-centuries and nine centuries as well. Playing primarily as a wicketkeeper, Jackson has also affected 51 dismissals in the format, which includes 42 catches and nine stumpings.
