The Melbourne Renegades are up for their next clash against Perth Scorchers in the 10th match of the Big Bash League 2024-25. The Renegades currently stand second in the points table, with one win in the two games that they have played so far.

They will now look to solidify their place at the top of the table with another win in the early stages of the tournament against the Scorchers. Their opponents, with the same number of wins in the same matches played, stand in the fourth position in the points table. Here we look at the Melbourne Renegades’ probable playing XI.

Top Order:

Jake Frazer-McGurk, Josh Brown, Tim Seifert

Jake Frazer-McGurk and Josh Brown will take on the opening responsibilities once again in the upcoming match. While the former has proven what he is worth in a few leagues, Brown is still finding his ground. Tim Seifert, who is expected to take the number three position, will be important at number three. His form in the early stages of the tournament has been decent, with scores of 55 and 37 in the two matches.

Middle Order:

Mackenzie Harvey, Laurie Evans, Jacob Bethell, Will Sutherland

The Renegades’ middle order has not fired well in the tournament so far. They would want to do more in the upcoming matches. Mackenzie Harvey will have the responsibility to increase the scoring rate, given his high strike rate in T20s. While Will Sutherland has had one good performance, Laurie Evans and Jacob Bethell will look to pile some runs.

Bowlers:

Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson, on the other hand, are the most experienced bowlers in the team. Along with the services of Will Sutherland, the Renegades have a solid bowling attack.
