Sourav Ganguly will fight for the post of CAB president

Sourav Ganguly will not be seen as the president of BCCI for the second time. In his place, Roger Binny will be the BCCI president. But this time after losing the post, Sourav will fight for the post of CAB president.

This former cricket star popularly known as Maharaj has decided to contest for the upcoming Cricket Association of Bengal’s presidential post. CAB elections are scheduled to be held on October 31. Last date for submission of nominations is October 22. And before that he talked about it.

Sourav was the president of CAB from 2015 to 2019. Maharaj is going to fight for that position again. Sourav said, “Yes, I will contest the CAB elections. I have been the head of the CAB for five years. According to the Lodha rule, I can stay for four more years.”

According to news sources, Sourav wanted to be the board president. But he was asked to be the IPL president, not the BCCI president. But he did not agree to that proposal. There were rumors that Sourav will fight for the post of ICC chairman. But BCCI has made it clear that he will not be supported for the post of ICC chairman.

There are rumors that Sourav is being removed for political reasons. Indian media reported that he was removed from the post because he did not join the BJP. That created hue and cry in Indian cricket. Sourav is now the talk of the country in Indian cricket.
