Predicting Bangladesh’s Playing XI for 3rd T20I against India

The game on Saturday in Hyderabad is also the last time Mahmudullah will play a T20I game for his team. 

Najmul Shanto didn’t mince any words when he was speaking at the end of the game. The left-handed batter said “Think we made the same mistakes like the first game, not a good thing as a team. We need to improve. I think it was a good decision to bowl”

The Bangladeshi skipper also said “They batted well after the first 6-7 overs, we didn’t execute our plans after that. Need to take responsibility as batsmen, we got to believe in ourselves. The way our bowlers bowled, they were impressive, but we couldn’t take wickets in the middle overs like I said”

Top order –

Left-handed batter Parvez Hossain Emon has shown glimpses of his amazing talent but those have been too little for his side. Emon scored 16 off 12 balls in New Delhi before he was out to Arshdeep Singh. Litton Das hasn’t had a great tour of India but with one more game to go the 29-year-old will want to prove his worth. Despite results going against him, Najmul Shanto has done well with the bat during the tour and has been a steady performer. 

Middle Order – 

Emotions will be running high as veteran star Mahmudullah takes to the field for the last time in the T20I format. With his retirement, the Bangladeshi side will lose yet another experienced star from their lineup. Towhid Hridoy came in with a lot of reputation but the batter hasn’t lived up to the hype. Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been one of the few bright sparks during this tour for the Bangladeshi side. 

Lower-order – 

Jaker Ali is known to be a huge hitter of the ball and his exploits in the domestic circuit have won him lots of fans. The right-handed batter has been having a lean time with the bat so far and the tour of India has seen the runs hard to come by. Rishad Hossain had a howler during the 2nd game on Wednesday as he was hit for 55 runs from his 4 overs. His 3 wickets came towards the backend of the innings while he scored a mere 9 runs with the bat. 

Tail enders – 

Bangladeshi pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled with great pace to pick 2 wickets from 50 runs from his 4 overs. The right-arm pacer also touched 147 KPH as he dismissed Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag. Taskin Ahmed was the best bowler for Bangladesh as he bowled 4 overs and picked 2/16 which included the wickets of Samson and Rinku Singh. Veteran pacer Mustafizur Rahman returns to Hyderabad and will know the ground very well. This is the same venue where Rahman started his IPL career for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.
