OTD | Bangladesh star left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur "The Fizz" Rahman was born in 1995

Bangladesh bowler Mustafizur Rahman, also known as ‘The Fizz,’ was born on September 6, 1995. He’s an outstanding bowler who has been a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well. Rahman played for many franchises, including Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Before playing in the international set-up, he played in the U-19 team for Bangladesh in the UAE. Mustafizur made an excellent debut in international cricket against India in 2015, where he claimed 11 wickets in the first two ODI games. Since then, the cricket world has been quite fond of him. 

However, he has been prone to injuries, which has caused him to be unable to be consistent in the game. Rahman has a brilliant line and length and moderates good speed, allowing him to scare the batters. Moreover, some mysterious deliveries do drive the batters crazy. He has played a number of World Cup matches in both ODI and T20 formats which shows his potential as a player. Rahman has also been a part of the Test match team but hasn’t played many matches due to injury constraints. 

Moreover, in Tests, he has played 15 matches and taken 31 wickets, while in ODIs, he has played 104 games and taken 164 wickets. In the T20Is, he played around 103 matches, taking 128 wickets at an average of 21.32. Additionally, he has played a lot of first-class, list A, and T20 matches in his career and has taken a lot of wickets. He is a prolific bowler who can swing his bat at times of need. In T20s, he has taken 333 wickets after playing in 265 matches.
