Bangladesh Cricket Board BCB is desperate to find success after the Bangladesh Cricket Team failed consistently in T20. Mahmudullah Riyad has been removed from the leadership and Shakib Al Hasan has been given the captaincy. There has also been a change in the coaching staff. Russell Domingo has been rested from T20 duty.

Meanwhile, Sridharan Sriram, Technical Consultant of Bangladesh National Cricket Team arrived in Dhaka after getting new responsibility.

Later in a press release sent by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Sriram said, “I have come to Bangladesh with 25 years of cricketing experience and 9 years of high level coaching experience. I am looking forward to working with the players here.”

He also said about the potential of Team Bangladesh,

“I believe Bangladesh has huge potential in white ball cricket. I am thrilled to be with a team of talented players at two major events (Asia Cup and T20 World Cup).”

Sriram’s own cricket career is not very rich. He played international cricket for India from 2000-2004 as a player. Sriram is quite famous in domestic cricket. He scored 1075 runs in one season in Ranji Trophy.
