3 Afghanistan players to watch out for in their clash against Australia in T20 World Cup 2024

The Super 8 of the T20 World Cup has begun and we have already seen some great matches. The match we will be talking about is between Australia and Afghanistan, which will be a great former champion vs underdog battle to watch out for. The sides go up against each other in Kingstown where both the teams will be playing their 2nd game of the Super 8.

Though we all know the Aussies are going to be a favourite to win this, we cannot underestimate the Afghanistan team at all. The wicketkeeper batter might have not had the best of matches last game, but he has still been in incredible form in this tournament. Gurbaz has shown his attacking style of cricket at the top and enjoys attacking the pacers. His battle against the Aussie pace attack will be something to look forward to in the game. The Afghans will be relying on him to give them another explosive start and put the Aussies on the back foot.

3. Fazalhaq Farooqui

If you think Gurbaz can help at the top, it will be Fazalhaq Farooqui with the ball who could start the proceedings. The left-arm seamer has been one of the major strike bowlers for Afghanistan and he can also cause problems for the pacers with his art of swing bowling. Being one of the highest wicket-takers in the World Cup, he will be someone that the Aussies should watch out for.
