3 United States players to watch out for in their clash against South Africa in T20 World Cup 2024

The ICC T20 World Cup Co-host nation USA are living the dream as they have made it to Super 8 for the first time in their history. USA placed along with India, Pakistan, Canada and Ireland, finished second in Group A with 5 points. USA lost just one match in Group A against India while they defeated the other three teams to get into Super 8.

The first Super 8 game will take place between USA and South Africa in Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. USA is a good team as they have beaten the Darkhorse in the group stage. His 35-run effort against Pakistan helped the USA equalise the score in the 20-over match. When Monank Patel was not available due to injury, he played an important role in the team’s middle order. 

2. Saurabh Netravalkar

Saurabh Netravalkar, a star USA pacer, has performed admirably with the new ball. He took two vital wickets against India, including captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. His outstanding play helped the USA put India under strain in a low-scoring game. Apart from that, he had taken two wickets against Pakistan, including Mohammed Rizwan. His incredible form and ability to get the most out of the wicket will undoubtedly play a critical role against Ireland in the coming game. Till now he has picked four wickets in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup.

3. Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones is continually scoring runs in crucial matches. His performances against Pakistan and Canada were crucial to the team’s win. In the first match against Canada, he scored 94 runs and was unbeaten. Aaron Jones is the second most top scorer in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He has scored 152 runs in three matches and is only behind Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan.
