Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will head to Mumbai to play their sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. RCB’s quest for the maiden trophy got off to a horrid start and they will aim to get back on track when they take on home team Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 25th match at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 11.
The five-time champions opened their account in the last match against Delhi Capitals (DC) and will look to continue their winning momentum. RCB, on the other hand, is in dire straits with four defeats, three of which have come in a row. Neither team is sitting happy in the points table (MI – 8th and RCB – 9th) and will be an exciting affair to see who registers their second win of the season.
The two have been sharing a fierce rivalry since 2008, but MI have the upper hand having won 18 of their 32 meetings. Things are in RCB’s favour considering the last five head-to-head (4-1). However, MI won the recent fixture (the second encounter of the IPL 2023 group stage) at the same venue where the two are set to clash on Thursday.
