During a thrilling clash at the India Premier League 2024, Rajasthan Royals’ pacer Avesh Khan displayed remarkable composure in the final over against Delhi, securing a vital victory for his team. Faced with the challenge of defending 17 runs, Avesh rose to the occasion with a series of precise wide yorkers that kept Delhi’s batters at bay.

Avesh’s flawless performance under pressure led Rajasthan to a 12-run win, propelling them to second place in the points table with two victories from as many matches. Reflecting on his standout effort, Avesh described it as his best final over in terms of execution.

“I have bowled final overs before. I saved 15 in the last over in IPL 2023. But yes, in terms of execution, this was my best-ever final over because I was able to use the wide yorkers in every single ball,” Avesh mentioned in the post-match press conference, as quoted by India Today. His exceptional skill and calm demeanor were crucial in Rajasthan’s success, especially after early setbacks in the first innings.
