Predicting India’s Playing XI against the Netherlands in ODI World Cup 2023

The Men in Blue have romped through the group stage of the 2023 ODI World Cup. The Indian team is unbeaten in the tournament and they have already qualified for the Semi-finals. In their last group stage match, they will be facing the Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Let’s take a look at the probable starting lineup of India against the Netherlands.

Top Order

Top Order

The Indian top order has done wonders in the tournament with two of the top-order batsmen, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, among the top 5 run-getters in the tournament. Shubman Gill has also got his old form back with some impactful innings.

Recently, Rohit Sharma has not been able to convert his quick starts and that will be his goal in this match. He would want to go into the semi-finals with a big knock under his belt. Virat Kohli equaled the record of Sachin Tendulkar at the Eden Gardens and this will be an opportunity for Virat to surpass his hero with his 50th century.

Middle Order

Middle Order

The middle order will remain the same. The Indian team has been playing with 7 batters since Hardik Pandya got out of action because of his injury. This has put extra responsibility on the middle order and they have stood up to the task. Shreyas Iyer has made two consecutive half-centuries which is a big positive going ahead in the tournament. KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja are also in good touch and they would be eager to continue their run-scoring form.

Bowling Unit

Bowling Unit

India’s bowling attack has by far been the most threatening bowling unit in this tournament. In the last few matches, they have absolutely demolished opposition batting lineups. Mohammad Shami’s inclusion has made this attack a different beast altogether. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj have been doing their task to perfection which makes this pace trio so lethal.

The spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja has also stepped up when needed and they would also be coming in handy against the Netherlands.
