Aussie legend Shane Warne injured by motorbike accident

The legendary Australian leg-spinner, Shane Warne, was reportedly involved in a motorbike accident on Sunday while travelling with his son Jackson Warne. After the incident, he refused to go to the hospital, but he changed his mind after waking up in pain on Monday.

Warne crashed after losing control of his 300kg bike. To make matters worse, he slid for nearly 15 metres following the fall. When the disaster struck, Warne was riding in Melbourne and on his way to return the bike to storage.

His hip, foot, and ankle were all injured as a result of the fall. Warne went to the hospital as a precaution, fearing a fracture.

The former Australian cricketer has been riding a motorbike regularly for over two years.

Despite the setback, Warne is anticipated to be fully recovered by the start of the Ashes in Brisbane on December 8. Throughout the series, he will contribute his voice to Fox Sports’ commentary box.

Given the novel COVID-19 variant breakout, England Cricket and Cricket Australia have conducted crisis talks about the series’ destiny. Two passengers in Sydney tested positive for the Omicron strain, which has taken the world by storm.

For the five-match series, the teams will travel throughout Australia to five different sites, with the final match taking place in Perth.
