Guyana Amazon Warriors have cruised to a resounding 6-wicket victory over Saint Lucia Kings with 10 balls to spare courtesy of Heinrich Klaasen’s devastating innings in the 13th match of the CPL 2022 at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet. Guyana Amazon Warriors’ player Heinrich Klaasen was selected as the player of the match after playing an unbeaten match-winning innings of 61 runs off 46 balls.

At the start of the match, Guyana Amazon Warriors captain Shimron Hetmyer won the toss, he elected to field first and sent St Lucia Kings to bat. St. Lucia Kings collected a fighting score of 161 runs after losing 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

St. Lucia Kings’ two openers Johnson Charles and Faf du Plessis got off to a great start with the bat. The two put on an opening partnership of 93 runs off 48 balls. Courtesy of both of them, St. Lucia Kings picked up 77 runs in 6 overs of power play.
