Australia Women are set to take on England Women in a one-off pink-ball Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The day/night game will conclude the 2025 Women’s Ashes. The hosts are on a roll at the moment, having whitewashed their arch-rivals in the ODI and T20I series so far. Meanwhile, Australia skipper Alyssa Healy declared herself fit and “ready to go” ahead of the game.

“I’m good to go. We’ll make a final decision on what the XI looks like over the next little period, but I feel like I’m ready to go, so we’ll wait and see what happens. The final XI hasn’t quite been decided upon just yet, but I’m standing here in front of you without a moon boot, saying I’m ready to go,” stated Healy in the pre-match press conference, as quoted by India Today.

She acknowledged the healthcare team of offering her immense support throughout her recuperation process.

“The medical staff have been really supportive of (giving me) the opportunity to push to play in this Test match. We’ve done everything we possibly can to get myself in a position to put my hand up and say, ‘I’m ready to go’,” added Healy.

Healy was sidelined for the T20I series due to an injury to her right foot. She had to wear a moon boot throughout last week due to a stress reaction on her foot. For the unversed, she will be playing as a pure batter, with Beth Mooney set to take on the wicketkeeping duties.

Furthermore, all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner had also been given the green light for the multi-day game. She could not participate in the T20I series due to a calf injury. Right-arm medium pacer, Megan Schutt, however, will miss out from featuring in the iconic game. Australia are all set to persist with the duo of Kim Garth and Darcie Brown.
