The two-game Test series between India and Bangladesh finally came to a close after two thrilling encounters. Both matches were won by the Indian team; the first game was held in Chennai, which India won by 280 runs; furthermore, after the second Test was interrupted by rain for several days, team India managed to snatch a win by 7 wickets.

Throughout the series, there were some exceptional displays of fielding. From Rohit Sharma’s one-handed stunner to KL Rahul’s excellence at leg slip, team India did not disappoint with their fielding.

After the conclusion of the Test series, and as per tradition, the fielding medal was given out once again. In a clip that was shared by the BCCI across their social media platforms, fielding coach T. Dilip was seen giving out the medals.

Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, and Mohammed Siraj were the players nominated for the medal, and the duo of Jaiswal and Siraj ended up being announced as the joint winners.

“Dressing Room BTS, Impact Player of the Series. Sharp grabs, one-handed catches, and terrific fielding remained constant throughout the #INDvBAN series,” the BCCI captioned the post.

India gears up for T20I games against Bangladesh

Having won the Test series 2-0, India and Bangladesh will now shift their focus onto the shortest format. Both sides will now face off in a three-game T20I series. The games will be held in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12, respectively.

With the win in the longest format secured, India will hope for a similar showing in the T20I games as well. On the other hand, Bangladesh will aim to go for an upset and topple the hosts.

It is also worth noting that shortly after the conclusion of the T20I series, India will go on to face New Zealand in a three-game Test series at home. The games will be hosted by Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai, and the first Test will kick off on October 16.
