Tensions on the border have led to a halt in the season for the cricketers, with the IPL (Indian Premier League) being suspended for one week due to safety concerns for the players and the fans. Despite the recent developments, Indian cricketers have still shown their appreciation towards the armed forces who are putting their lives on the line for the nation.

Indian cricketers who have reacted to the ongoing conflict recently include India’s legendary batter Virat Kohli and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who have shown their support for the soldiers with heartfelt posts on social media. Both cricketers have expressed their gratitude towards the Indian armed forces during these tough times.

In his Instagram story, Kohli wrote that he is standing in solidarity with the soldiers who are protecting the country against external threats. Indian ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah also took to his social media, mentioning how grateful he is to the soldiers who are sacrificing so much for the safety of the country.

“We stand in solidarity with and salute our armed forces for fiercely protecting our country in these difficult times. We are forever indebted to our heroes for their unwavering bravery and heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices they and their families make for our great nation,” Kohli wrote on his official Instagram handle.

“Grateful to our armed forces for their courage and bravery. We salute them and remain forever in their debt for everything that they do to keep us safe,” Bumrah wrote on his ‘X’ handle.

Last game of IPL before suspension

The last game played in the tournament was between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC), which was called off due to technical problems at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) in Dharamsala.

The game stopped after 10.1 overs, with PBKS batting first and scoring 122 runs for the loss of one wicket before the floodlights at the venue suddenly turned off. This was the third game in the tournament that ended without a result.
