In the opening match of the Asia Cup 2023, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka clashed for the first time. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Bangladesh struggled against the disciplined Sri Lankan bowlers and were dismissed for a meagre total of 164 runs.
As the second innings commenced, tensions flared between a Bangladeshi bowler and the Sri Lankan batters, resulting in a heated exchange.
