ODI World Cup 2023: Sachin Tendulkar receives Golden Ticket from BCCI secretary Jay Shah

Legendary former Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar became the latest recipient of the ODI World Cup’s ‘Golden Ticket for India Icons’ programme. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) decided that Sachin Tendulkar should be another one of the icons receiving the ticket.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah was captured alongside Tendulkar holding the ticket as both posed for a post that has been doing the rounds all over social media. After receiving the ticket, Tendulkar took to social media to share the news with his fans.

“In an iconic moment for cricket and the nation! As part of our “Golden Ticket for India Icons” programme, BCCI Honorary Secretary @jayshah220988 presented the golden ticket to Bharat Ratna Shri @sachintendulkar A symbol of cricketing excellence and national pride, Sachin Tendulkar’s journey has inspired generations. Now, he’ll be part of the @icc @cricketworldcup 2023 witnessing the action LIVE,” Sachin Tendulkar captioned the post.
