SRH are currently at eighth in the IPL 2025 points table with just seven points in 11 games. The Orange Army have already been eliminated from the tournament and would have wanted to give a nice farewell to the home crowd.
Meanwhile, the defending champions KKR are sixth in the points table with five victories and will aim to win the game to gain two points for staying in the playoffs contention.
The suspension of the IPL had also disrupted the momentum of the franchise which was on the path to qualify for the playoffs. Gujarat Titans (GT) are currently at the top of the points table with a net run rate of +0.793 and followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) with 16 points.
SRH, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the three franchises that have already been eliminated, and seven more teams are looking to seal a spot in the top-four to qualify for the playoffs. As IPL have been suspended for a week, the BCCI are yet to announce the schedule for the remaining fixtures.
