The mega auction for the edition of the (Indian Premier League) IPL 2025 has been nothing short of electrifying. The two-day spectacle in Jeddah lived up to its hype. There have been a whole lot of superstars who were initially released into the auction pool and found a way into new franchises. Additionally, there were quite a lot of big names who ended up stealing deals for the franchises.
On the other hand, there was also a plethora of players who failed to attract any bid. While most of them have been players who have not played the IPL before and/or have not featured for their national side, there have quite a lot of reputed players who have failed to attract any team up until now.

This was a feature at the exhibition, mostly in the latter phase of it. With franchises running out of slots as well as purse, many international superstars and Indian stalwarts found themselves getting unsold. David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Keshav Maharaj, Mayank Agarwal, Piyush Chawla, and Shardul Thakur are only a few of the most surprising unsold ones.
