The 66th game of the Indian Premier League 2024 will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Gujarat Titans at home. Pat Cummins and the team need to win their last two games. Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, are already out of IPL 2024 after their game against Kolkata Knight Riders was washed out.

Pat Cummins and his team are on the cusp of making their first playoffs for quite a while. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have lit up the tournament with their breath-taking batting while the bowlers too have stood up and made themselves count when needed.

Gujarat Titans who had won the title in 2022 had begun the season well before losing their way. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan scored centuries during their massive partnership against Chennai Super Kings which resulted in their 35-run win to give them faint hopes of qualifications. The washout on Monday though ended their journey as the Titans became the third team to exit the tournament after Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.

Here are the three players to have played for both SRH and GT in the league’s history:

3. Kartik Tyagi

Young right-arm pacer Kartik Tyagi was brought by the Gujarat Titans earlier this season. The 23-year-old can crank up good speeds with the ball and also is a very good death bowler.

Kartik Tyagi before his only appearance for the Titans had played for Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers. His stint with the IPL 2016 winners saw him play five matches and pick just two wickets.

2. Wriddhiman Saha

The out-of-favor Indian star has been a long-serving veteran of the league having made his debut in 2008. Having debuted with Kolkata Knight Riders, Saha moved to Chennai Super Kings before going to Punjab Kings where he scored a ton in the IPL finals.

Wriddhiman Saha moved to Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018 after spending four seasons in Punjab. With the SRH side, Saha played 29 matches and scored 553 runs with a best of 87 which was one of his 2 half-centuries.

Gujarat Titans picked up the veteran during the IPL 2022 season and Saha played a pivotal role in their title win the same season. Till now Saha has played 37 matches for the Titans and scored 824 runs so far with 5 half-centuries.

1. Rashid Khan

Afghanistan star Rashid Khan has been a huge revelation ever since his IPL debut. The right-arm spinner began his journey with Sunrisers Hyderabad where he played a total of 76 matches and picked 93 wickets. Rashid Khan’s best figures for the SRH side was 3/7 and his economy rate was a miserly 6.33 runs per over.

After spending five years with the men in orange, Rashid Khan moved to Gujarat Titans where he won the IPL 2022 title. In the 45 matches with the Titans, Rashid Khan has picked 56 wickets with a best of 4/24. He has also picked a hat trick which came during the IPL 2023 season. Rashid Khan has also hit his only fifty in the IPL with a best of 79 not out against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in 2023.
