IPL 2023 Qualifier 2, GT vs MI Stats Preview: Players records and approaching milestones

Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2023 on Friday, May 26 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams met each other in the 57th match of the ongoing IPL at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where the Mumbai Indians defeated the Gujarat Titans by 27 runs.  

 Titans will be coming after a loss against Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1 by a margin of 15 runs. Shubman Gill is in great touch for GT and has aggregated 722 runs in 15 games at an average of 55.53 and an excellent strike rate of 149.17. Gill has smashed back-to-back centuries in the ongoing league. In the bowling department, Mohammed Shami has picked 26 and Rashid Khan has picked 24 wickets. GT would look to beat MI and make their way to the second finals in the IPL. 

Mumbai Indians will come into the contest after a comfortable win against Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator. Suryakumar Yadav leads the batting chart with 544 runs in 15 games at an average of 41.84 with an impressive strike rate of 183.78. Ishan Kishan and Cameron Green have managed to aggregate 454 and 422 runs, respectively. In the bowling department, Piyush Chawla has picked 21 wickets in 15 matches and Youngster Akash Madhwal has picked 13 wickets in 7 Matches and also bowled the best bowling figures in IPL 2023. MI would also look to beat GT and make their way to the seventh final in the IPL.
