After a riveting win for England in Rajkot, India will host them at the MCA Stadium in Pune for the fourth T20I with the hopes of taking an unassailable lead.

At one stage, the third T20I seemed headed in the same direction as the first two games as England once again crumbled against Varun Chakravarthy. But the point of difference was their death-over resurgence,  as it gave England’s bowlers something to bowl at.

India were put under pressure early and just kept losing wickets at regular intervals. However, unlike the second T20I, they could not find their gears back in the middle as England’s bowlers stifled them. India tried to take the game deep, but were ultimately left with too much to do.

Pune is known to be one of the rare pitches in India that is generally on the slower side even in T20Is. It may well be the case here too.

Player Battles to Watch Out For:

Jos Buttler vs Arshdeep Singh:

England’s skipper has been a thorn in India’s flesh in this series. One of the ways he has done that is by negotiating Arshdeep Singh successfully. Buttler has made 44 runs from 30 balls at a strike of 146.67 and has never been dismissed against the left-arm pacer in the format. India have got ahead of the game early this series, but Buttler has proven to be a tough customer.

Sanju Samson vs Jofra Archer:

Sanju Samson is yet to hit his straps in the series. He has been dismissed by the same bowler, Archer, in all three matches so far. Archer has consistently troubled Samson and not let him score. Samson has scored just eight runs from 15 balls at a strike rate of 53.33 against Archer and has been dismissed thrice at an average of 2.67.
