Star Australia batter Travis Head was recently diagnosed with COVID-19. After the first game against the West Indies, Head was diagnosed with viral infection and is currently recovering from the same. Due to the diagnosis, his inclusion in Australia’s line-up for the second Test at the Gabba, Brisbane is unsure.

Speaking of the same, Australian skipper Pat Cummins came forward to opine that Head has ‘almost recovered’ from his infection and is one of the frontrunners to make it to Australia’s line-up in the second Test.

“I think he’s almost out of it, He’ll be fine, and he’ll train tonight, Obviously, even if he is still positive he can still play, there might just be a few protocols,” Cummins was quoted as saying by India Today.

The Aussie skipper’s statement hinted at the batting all-rounder’s possible inclusion in the Brisbane Test, despite him not recovered from the infection yet. It is worthy of mentioning that Head will still have to follow all the necessary protocols as per the playing conditions, but Cummins statement is confident enough about Head’s entry right into the playing XI of the game.
