Pakistan cricket has always been known for producing world-class pacers, and over the years, the side has had many legendary names in its squad, Wasim Akram, and Shoaib Akthar, to name a few. However, the current generation of Pakistan cricketers is not lagging behind either.

Shaheen Afridi is one of the best pacers in world cricket. Furthermore, the side’s youngsters are a force to be reckoned with as well. Namely, 20-year-old Naseem Shah has been making a lot of heads turn with his performances.

At just 20 years old, Shah has played 42 matches for Pakistan across formats, taking 80 wickets to his name. Reflecting on his latent ability, former Pakistan bowling coach Shaun Tait came to the front to heap massive praise on the youngster.

“I just thought he [Naseem Shah] was fantastic. I loved working with him. I think at his age now, early 20s, he is probably the best, and it is a big call, but I am going to say he is nearly the best fast bowler I have ever seen at that age,” Tait was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.

As far as his ability, his brain, his desires, and his competitiveness go, he is almost the perfect package: Tait

Furthermore, Tait also reflected on how Shah could go on to do great things for Pakistan. He opined that the 20-year-old is the complete package with his ability, brain, and desire. He also stated that Shah is way too mature for a player his age.

“As far as his ability, his brains, his desires, and his competitiveness go, he is almost the perfect package. There is no such thing, but he is nearly there. He is someone who swings the ball both ways when he wants to and he can also reverse the old ball. He takes the pace off really well and bowls good Yorkers. I think he is a fantastic player. He is mature beyond his years as well,” Shaun Tait said.
