After getting back to winning ways and narrowly slipping out against Punjab in their last match, Mumbai Indians (MI) will lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match No. 35 of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023. Titans, too, would be happy with their latest performance. more so with the ball, and would look to fare well in their forthcoming clash. Titans find themselves among the top four of the IPL Points Table whereas Mumbai would be raring to start on their upward climb following a late resurgence in the ongoing tournament.
Mumbai Indians would be happy with the revival of forms for skipper Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and their prized all-round possession, Cameron Green. On the bowling front too, the much-anticipated comeback of Jofra Archer yielded results as he dismissed Sam Curran in the last match to claim his maiden wicket in MI colours. Veteran leggie Piyush Chawla has turned himself into a great asset for the team as the former India player has consistently found himself among wickets. Thus, although coming on the back of a hard-fought loss, MI would be high on confidence to register two vital points on the board when they face Gujarat on Tuesday.
On the other hand, Titans showed exemplary resilience to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat in their last encounter against Lucknow Super Giants. For the defending champions, Mohit Sharma has been a great addition to the team as the experienced speedster has not only been providing crucial and timely breakthroughs for the side but has also left an impact with his economical spells. One of the biggest positives for the team has been the return of Hardya Pandya’s form with the willow as the 29-year-old scored 66 runs to bail his team out of a batting debacle in their last encounter against LSG. Thus, the team would be keen on bringing their winning amalgamation to play and emerging victorious in their all-important clash against MI.
