Miraj Group has announced the new cricket stadium to be built in Udaipur. The construction is underway and the videos of the construction process are doing rounds on social media. The ground is being constricted at Kanpur Kheda and it can accommodate a crowd of up to 50,000 people. The firm has invested around 200 crore in this venture so far.

When completed, the stadium could well be termed the second-largest cricket stadium in Rajasthan. The ground will aim for the scheduling of international matches and will add to the growing reputation of Udaipur as the upcoming cricketing hub of Rajasthan. Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a former member of the royal family of Mewar and twice president of the Udaipur District Cricket Association, has been the linchpin behind the idea.

Udaipur is on verge of becoming next cricketing hub

The Udaipur Cricket Stadium will possess all the international facilities. When it comes to the pitches, the stadium will boast a total of twelve strips with a combination of black soil pitches. Additionally, the stadium will display separate nets with eight more strips for practising and acclimatizing purposes.

Jaipur and Jodhpur had previously held the upper hand when it came to floodlit cricket grounds. Anyhow, Udaipur will have something to showcase the outer world with its world-class outfield and accommodation facilities that match global standards.
