BCCI hits back at reports after being accused of Wankhede pitch switch

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has hit back at reports suggesting a ‘pitch switch’ ahead of the all-important semi-final clash against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

As things heat up, a BCCI official revealed, “The ICC independent pitch consultant works with the host and venues on their proposed pitch allocations and this process is ongoing throughout an event of this length and nature,” as quoted by Cricket Addictor.
