ऑस्ट्रेलिया के स्टार तेज गेंदबाज मिचेल स्टार्क इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ बर्मिंघम में खेले जा रहे पहले एशेज 2023 टेस्ट मैच में नहीं खेल रहे हैं। ऑस्ट्रेलिया के कप्तान पैट कमिंस ने इस चौंकाने वाले फैसले का खुलासा टॉस के दौरान 16 जून को किया।

आपको बता दें, जोश हेजलवुड को एशेज 2023 के पहले टेस्ट के लिए ऑस्ट्रेलिया की प्लेइंग इलेवन में शामिल करने के लिए अनुभवी बाएं-हाथ के तेज गेंदबाज को ड्रॉप किया गया। एक तरफ जहां इंग्लैंड क्रिकेट टीम ने पहले टेस्ट मैच के लिए अपनी प्लेइंग इलेवन की घोषणा दो दिन पहले की, वहीं ऑस्ट्रेलिया क्रिकेट टीम ने अंतिम क्षण तक अपनी टीम के खुलासे के लिए इंतजार किया।

जोश हेजलवुड के कारण मिचेल स्टार्क को नहीं मिली ऑस्ट्रेलिया XI में जगह

वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चैंपियंस इस दुविधा में थे कि जोश हेजलवुड और स्कॉट बोलैंड में से किसे टीम में जगह दें, और अंत में मिचेल स्टार्क को अपनी जगह गंवानी पड़ी। हेजलवुड ने चोट से वापसी की, वहीं स्कॉट बोलैंड ने WTC 2023 फाइनल में भारत के खिलाफ शानदार प्रदर्शन किया इसलिए उन्हें रिटेन किया गया।

ऑस्ट्रेलिया के इस फैसले ने सभी को हैरान कर दिया क्योंकि स्टार्क WTC फाइनल में महंगा साबित होने के बावजूद पुरानी गेंद के साथ अपनी रिवर्स स्विंग से घातक गेंदबाज साबित हो सकता था। मिचेल स्टार्क को मौका नहीं देने पर कप्तान पैट कमिंस ने कहा कि यह एक कठिन फैसला था। मिच पिछले हफ्ते बहुत प्रभावशाली थे, लेकिन यह मानसिकता के बारे में है।
