Check out the top 3 England performers from the 4th T20I, England vs India 2025. Jos Buttler’s England side didn’t enjoy a great start to the five-match T20I series against India with two successive losses. But the former two-time ICC T20 World Cup winners showed their class with a 26-run win in the previous match in Rajkot. After such an amazing performance the tourists came to Pune hoping to level the series.
England began well as they reduced India to 12/3 in the second over before the hosts staged a comeback. With the bat England were their usual belligerent self in the first six overs of the game but after losing their first wicket, the touring side kept losing wickets in a bunch to end up on the losing side by 15 runs. ‘
Here are England’s top three best performers from the 4th T20I :
3- Saqib Mahmood

27-year-old Saqib Mahmood made an instant impression after coming into the game to replace Mark Wood. The right-arm pacer shocked the fans when he became the first England bowler to claim a triple wicket maiden over in T20I cricket. Saqib got the wicket of Sanju Samson on his first ball who was caught by Brydon Carse for one run. Tilak Varma was out in the next ball caught by Jofra Archer for a first-ball duck. In the final ball, Suryakumar Yadav offered Carse an easy catch to give Mahmood a dream start. The 27-year-old ended the day with 3/35 from four overs.
2- Jamie Overton

It has been an amazing return to the national side for Jamie Overton who has been impressing everyone with his bowling. Jamie Overton bowled four overs and picked 2/32 during the 4th match in Pune. His first wicket of the day was Hardik Pandya for 53 who was caught by Jos Buttler. This was followed by the wicket of Axar Patel who perished for four runs caught by Bethell for five runs. The last over of the innings bowled by over went for just three runs as England made sure that India didn’t get anywhere near 190 runs.
1- Harry Brook

Young Harry Brook was the best batter for the visiting side as he hit 51 off just 26 balls with five fours and two sixes. At one stage, England were coasting to an easy win scoring at over ten runs per over. A quick fall of wickets meant that the hosts were back in the game and this is where Brook showed his maturity. The 25-year-old kept scoring runs at one end despite wickets falling at the other end. His innings ended when he tried to play a cute ramp shot against Varun Chakravarthy only to mistime the ball and see Arshdeep Singh take the catch.
