Top 3 bowling performances before IPL 2025 suspension

The rising cross-border heat between India and Pakistan forced the Indian cricket authorities to suspend the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) for one week. The officials are working on planning the new schedule and dates for the remainder of the tournament. The decision is also to be taken whether the remaining part of the tournament will be played in India or Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The chaos started when the 58^th game of the tournament between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was called off midway in Dharamsala. However, the performances and the quality of cricket were at their peak before the tournament was suspended.

Mitchell Starc – 5/35 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (Match 10)

Hardik Pandya – 5/36 vs Lucknow Super Giants (Match 16)

Lucknow Super Giants hosted Mumbai Indians in the 16^th game of the tournament on April 4. The visiting skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and asked LSG to bat first. Batting first, the hosts scored 203 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

However, it was skipper Hardik Pandya himself who shone with the ball for Mumbai Indians in the first innings. He claimed a brilliant five-wicket haul, picking 5 wickets at 36 runs in his four overs, with a brilliant bowling strike rate of 4.80. Mohammed Siraj – 4/17 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (Match 19)

He also won the ‘Player of the Match’ award after GT won the game by 7 wickets.
